Israeli Defense Minister Yitzhak Mordechai said he would resign if Israel did not go ahead with a further redeployment from the West Bank. Mordechai made his remarks after meeting with U.S. Middle East envoy Dennis Ross. Ross, meanwhile, was scheduled to meet with Yasser Arafat after the Palestinian Authority chairman canceled a meeting scheduled for yesterday.
