Israeli forces killed three Palestinian gunmen during a clash in the southern Gaza Strip.
A small infantry force that entered Gaza early Thursday to conduct searches around Khan Younis came under fire by local gunmen.
The gunmen were killed in the ensuing shootout. Al-Aksa Brigades claimed them as its members.
There were no Israeli casualties.
