Israeli Foreign Minister Shimon Peres said he was confident the offensive against targets in Afghanistan would end with a U.S. victory. Peres told Army Radio, “In this war there is no room for compromise. Simply, the terrorists don’t allow any compromise. If you make a compromise, no planes will fly, no one will be able to travel freely and it will be impossible to build skyscrapers.”
