Israel police reported today that a patrol operating near Nahariyah, in northern Israel, had interrupted the landing of a cargo of contraband goods from an Arab vessel and had confiscated several cases of bicycle tires and tubes.

An Arab smuggling gang, they said, had been smuggling goods into Israel using sailing boats and caching the contraband in isolated areas along the shore for subsequent pickup by their allies.
