Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian who approached them in the Gaza Strip with what they thought was a weapon. The Palestinian, who was described as mentally unstable, waved a toy pistol at the soldiers, according to Palestinian witnesses. The soldiers shot the man in the leg and he was taken to Israel for treatment.
