Israeli troops killed at least seven Palestinians on Wednesday in fighting around the West Bank city of Jenin, according to Palestinian sources. Israeli security sources said three of the dead were Islamic Jihad terrorists. Before dawn, Israeli troops swept into Jenin, destroying a Palestinian security headquarters and two terrorist hideouts. Israel took up positions around Jenin on Tuesday to step attacks on what it calls a “den of terror.”
