Israelis residing in England were received today at the Israel Legation by Counselor Moshe Keren substituting for Ambassador Eliahu Elath who is at present in Belfast. No formal reception was held at the legation because of “difficult economic conditions” in Israel. Israel’s Independence Day was marked with a mass meeting tonight arranged by the Zionist Federation of Great Britain.
