Israel’s Cabinet approved the appointment of Ben-Zion Zilberfarb as director general of the Finance Ministry. Zilberfarb, 48, replaces Shmuel Slavin, who stepped down last month citing “professional differences” with Finance Minister Ya’acov Ne’eman. Zilberfarb has a doctorate in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
