Israel’s defense minister called on airmen who signed a petition against operations in Palestinian civilian areas to recant. “The military will not punish pilots who signed the refusenik letter and change their minds,” Shaul Mofaz said in a Knesset session on Monday, adding, “We are in the middle of the 10 Days of Repentance.”
