Israel’s finance minister called on his country to exile Yasser Arafat. Silvan Shalom, in Washington on Tuesday for meetings with U.S. Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill and Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, told reporters he hoped Israel’s Security Cabinet would discuss during a meeting Wednesday the possibility of removing the Palestinian Authority president from his Ramallah headquarters.
