Israel’s foreign minister lashed out against the harsh anti-Israel rhetoric emanating from Damascus in the wake of recent Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon. The comparison of Israel to the “Nazis and Hitler is revolting and causes us to ask ourselves whether the Syrians are truly interested in peace,” David Levy told the visiting president of the European Parliament, Nicole Fontaine.
