Israel’s justice minister condemned rioting by Jewish settlers during the funeral Sunday of an Israeli killed in a Palestinian ambush. Speaking on Israel Radio, Justice Minister Meir Sheetrit promised to deal harshly with those involved in the riot. Fifteen Israeli police officers and border police officers were injured when funeral-goers began scuffling with security forces during the funeral procession for Staff Sgt. Elazar Leibowitz.
