Israel’s legendary Kaveret pop group was slated to reunite for a one-time performance as part of Israel’s 50th anniversary celebrations. The seven-member group, which disbanded more than two decades ago, is considered to have been one of the major influences on the Israeli music scene. The group, whose members got their starts in army performance troupes, was known for its whimsical and clever tunes and lyrics.
