Israel’s president assured Cyprus that relations between the two Mediterranean countries would not be affected by the Jewish state’s increased military ties with Turkey. Ezer Weizman’s words came during a visit to the Cyprus during which the president of Cyprus, an island that is majority Greeks, said the increased Israeli-Turkish military cooperation is a “source of anxiety and concern for our own security.”
