Israel’s security establishment reportedly recommended immunizing the public against smallpox in the event of an Iraqi attack. The Israeli daily Ma’ariv reported Sunday that security officials and government ministers held deliberations on the issue, in light of intelligence information indicating that Iraq has developed biological weapons that it would use against Israel in the event of an attack by the United States.
