Israel’s ‘uzzi’ Machinegun Popular with Bodyguards

About 400,000 of Israel’s famed “Uzzi” submachine guns have been exported since the weapon was first manufactured in the 1950s and are presently used by the armies and police forces of 60 countries, the military industry’s publication “Bata” reported. According to “Bata” the “Uzzi” is the official weapon of the bodyguards of the Presidents of France and the Philippines Republic and of the King of Thailand.
