Jerusalem Police Curb Protests on Nuremberg Laws

All synagogues in this city were closed for part of the day yesterday in protest against the Nuremberg laws, regulations for the enforcement of which were promulgated in Berlin yesterday.

Protest meetings scheduled for various parts of the city were forbidden by the police on the grounds that sponsors of the meetings had failed to comply with police regulations. However, speakers in several of the city’s theatres were permitted to deliver anti-Nazi lectures.
