Jerusalem Refuses to Use Levant Fair Stamps on Mail

A proposal that all official city mail bear stamps advertising the Levant Fair was rejected by the Municipal Council. The decisive vote was cast by Mayor Khalidi when the council split, five Arabs voting against and five Jews voting for the proposal.
