Jewess Named Justice by Massachusetts Governor

Mrs. Sadie Lipner Shulman, lawyer and civic worker, was today appointed special justice of the municipal court in Dorchester by Governor Frank G. Allen. Mrs. Shulman, who is 39 years old, is the first Jewish woman judge in Massachusetts. An active and successful trial lawyer, she was for four years assistant corporation counsel of the city of Boston. In 1929, she was admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court.
