Contributions from the Jewish population for the Soviet fleet were asked by the Yevsektzia, the Jewish section of the Communist party, during Defense Week in Russia last week.

The collections were made throughout Russia among Jewish communists for the construction of an airplane which is to be named “Yiddischer Horopashnick” (the Jewish artisan). Only a few hundred roubles were collected for this purpose.
