Supporting the amendment to the Immigration Law proposed by Senator Wadsworth for the admission of 35,000 wives and minor children of declarants who arrived in this country before July 1, 1924, a delegation called on President Coolidge yesterday. The delegation consisted of Adolph Stern, Grand Master of the Independent Order B’rith Abraham, Elihu D. Stone, assistant United States Attorney of Boston, Judge Jacob Asher of Worcester, J. L. Simon of Salem and Henry Fruchter, manager of the Naturalization Aid League of New York, representing the “Jewish Daily Forward” and the “Arbeiter Ring.”

It was learned that President Coolidge expressed the hope that some measure of relief will be granted.

Prior to calling on the President the delegation called on Senator Butler, who promised support for the measure.
