The sessions of the Lithuanian parliament were opened here yesterday by Deputy Finkelstein, the oldest member of the House.
In his address Deputy Finkelstein expressed the wish that the principles of democracy be strengthened in the Republic of Lithuania and that the district of Vilna, claimed by the Republic, will soon be redeemed.
