The Vancouver City Council has received a petition for enactment of anti-discrimination ordinances submitted by the local section of the National Council of Jewish Women, assisted by the Vancouver Labor Committee.

The Council received the petition, endorsed its principles and filed it. The Council further declared that this type of legislation should be enacted on a province-wide basis rather than on the municipal level.
