Jewish Poet, Leaving for U.s., Feted in France

A farewell banquet was given tonight for Daniel Charney, the poet, who is leaving for the United States. Dr. Asron Syngalowski, of the ORT, presided. Speakers included Herbert Katzki, of the Joint Distribution Committee; Rabbi Aisenstad and representatives of many Jewish bodies.

The famous painter, Marc Chagall, is also intending to proceed to the U.S. shortly.
