The Jewish Socialist Bund still has much work to do in alliance with Social Democracy throughout the world, and can be particularly useful in the area of Jewish culture, 600 delegates attending the Bund’s third world conference here were told this weekend by a number of prominent speakers.
Delegates in attendance came from Israel, France, Australia, and Uruguay in addition to the United States, Canada and Mexico. Greetings were received by the conference from the Canadian Socialist Party, the British Labor Party, the Second International and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. Among the speakers were Prof. L. Hersh of Geneva; I Artusky of Tel Aviv; Sarah Shweber, formerly of Warsaw; B. Takachinsky and Emanuel Sherer.
