Jewish Teachers in N.Y. City Schools to Get Pay High Holidays

New York City school teachers of the Jewish faith will not lose pay for observing the Rosh Hashanah holidays next September, the Board of Education decided this week-end. This decision, affecting 8,000 teacher, supervisors and clerks, is the first such in the history of the Board.
