March 18, 1935
See Original Daily Bulletin From This Date

A National Jewish Party was formed here today by Jewish War Veterans, members of the Association of Jewish Front Fighters, in order to participate in the forthcoming Parliamentary elections.

This is the first time that a Jewish ticket will figure in the elections. Organization of the National Jewish Party was prompted by the growing Fascist movement in the country, which strongly resembles the Nazi movement in Germany.

Leading members of the Jewish Community in Budapest representing Hungarian Jewry today issued a statement sharply denouncing formation of the new Party.
