Rejecting a plea of self-defence the court today sentenced A. Rody and M. Spilner, watchmen on the Roumanian-Jewish estate known as “Ahuzat Herbert Samuel”, to eight months each in prison or fines of $200 for firing on Arab trespassers shortly after last summer’s riots.
