Jews are the world’s oldest population, a new study found. According to data released Tuesday by the Myers-JDC-Brookdale Institute, around 16 percent of Jews in Israel and the Diaspora are over 65, more than twice the average proportion of elderly worldwide.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
