Ber Karlinski, one of the editors of the Moment, the Yiddish daily which celebrated its twenty-fifth anniversary this week, died here today at the age of 49 after an illness lasting two years. Despite the illness, however, Karlinski continued his literary activities and his latest article appeared in the jubilee edition of the Moment, the paper with which he was connected from its inception.
Karlinski was the author of a number of novels in Yiddish. He also translated Knut Hamsun and Arthur Schnitzler into the Yiddish language.
