The Official Gazette today publishes an ordinance drafted by the minister of public worship for regulating the method of electing rabbis and the actions of the official Jewish communities. The new law provides for the uniform election of rabbis. The ordinance was drafted in accordance with suggestions drawn up by the Agudath Israel, Orthodox organization.
