King Alfonso of Spain has made Louis James Rosenberg, Detroit lawyer, a Knight of the Royal Order of Isabella. The honor came because of his services to Spain, both here as consul, and in that country. The notification, signed by Prime Minister Primo de Rivera, was forwarded to him by Alejando Padilla, Spanish ambassador at Washington.

Mr. Rosenberg was appointed American consul to Spain by President Roosevelt.

His relations with Spanish affairs extend over 22 years since the time he was appointed American consul in Seville, from 1906 to 1909. In recent years he has acted as consular agent for Spain in Michigan.
