Kofi Annan urged world leaders to push for peace in the Middle East. The U.N. secretary-general called on the international community to bring “imaginative new ideas” to settle the Israeli-Palestinian conflict before it devolves into a full-fledged war, and said a failure to address the key issues would result in more deaths.
