Lamport to Visit Dominican Republic for Industrial Survey

Arthur M. Lamport, well-known New York banker and philanthropist, who took the initiative in the Dominican refugee settlement project, is leaving by airplane for a three-week visit to the Dominican Republic.

Invited by Generalissimo Trujillo to be the guest of the Republic, Lamport will make a survey with regard to introducing handicraft and other industries in the Dominican Republic. He will coordinate his activities with the Dominican Republic Settlement Association, which is headed by James N. Rosenberg.
