A leading Belgian Socialist appealed to the Soviet Union today against continuing to dishonor itself with anti-Semitism “before all those in the world who are trying to understand its revolution and its struggle.”

Marcel Busiau, Parliamentarian and former Belgian Cabinet Minister, assailed Soviet anti-Semitism in the current issue of the Central Bulletin of the Belgian Socialist party, “Directives and Documentation.”

“We Socialists, who have never practiced any blind and idiotic anti-Sovietism, solemnly protest against” anti-Semitism which is “one of the most hideous vices of humanity. With numerous others we voice the desire that Russia will not continue to dishonor itself with such practices,” the Belgian leader wrote.
