Lebanon’s president pledged to win a portion of the Golan Heights from Israel. Emile Lahoud said Tuesday that he was “determined to liberate the remaining occupied Shebaa Farms from Israeli occupation,” the Associated Press reported. The United Nations certified that the Israeli withdrawal was complete and said Lebanon’s claim to Shebaa Farms was baseless, but Hezbollah has used the issue as a pretext to continue attacking Israel.
