Joseph N. Mitchell, general chairman of the 1962 United Jewish Welfare Fund campaign, announced today the drive would seek $8, 000,000 including a special overseas emergency fund of $1, 350, 000.
He said the larger sum will be used for allocations to 169 local, national and overseas agencies and services. The emergency fund will be used exclusively to aid Jewish migrants.
