Major Marcks, an adherent of Minister of War, General Kurt von Schleicher, was named today press chief of the cabinet.
He replaces Dr. Max R. von Kaufman-Affir, named to the post by Chancellor Franz von Papen.
The name of General von Schleicher is being advanced as a possible successor to von Papen.
