Dr. D.F. Malan, Premier of South Africa, in a message of greeting on the occasion of the Jewish New Year, today paid tribute to “the magnificent success of the combined efforts of the Jews to rebuild their national home in Israel.”
This effort, he said, “commands the admiration of the whole world and proves conclusively to what extent the same spirit of cooperation and devotion can and will be an asset to any country in which they are settled.”
