With more than $21,000 reported at the beginning of a drive in Seattle, and $12,000 raised on the first day of Houston’s effort, many communities are engaged in vigorous canvasses on behalf of the Allied Jewish Campaign. The leading Jewish communities of the state of Washington are all having campaigns under the general direction of Alfred Shemanski, state chairman. The Seattle drive is headed by Emanuel Rosenberg.
