Marwan Barghouti will not be able to serve in the Palestinian Authority Cabinet from prison, Israel’s internal security minister said. Gideon Ezra said that Barghouti, a jailed West Bank militiaman who heads the Fatah faction’s candidate list for Palestinian Authority parliamentary elections Wednesday, will not be able to carry out any future ministerial duties.
