An emergency rescue conference of the United Jewish Appeal attended by 500 Jewish leaders representing 20 Kansas and Missouri Jewish communities last night adopted a $350,000 quota for the United Jewish Appeal and voted unanimously to take all possible steps to speed local campaigns to completion. The conference heard reports by Israel Ambassador Abba S. Eben and Samuel S. Goldsmith, executive director of the Chicago Jewish Welfare Fund. Plans to advance funds to speed emigration before the May 31 deadline were approved.
