More than 700 Jewish activists from around the United States gathered in Washington at a conference of the National Council of Jewish Women to discuss the group’s agenda for the coming year. President Clinton is expected to address the participants, who will be lobbying Congress this week on such issues as child care, school vouchers and reproductive rights.
