More than 800 people in Australia attended the launch of a campaign to raise funds for Israel’s Yarkon River. The Jewish National Fund campaign is aimed at raising money to clean the polluted river, where four members of the Australian team died in 1997 when a makeshift bridge collapsed during the opening ceremony of the Maccabiah Games.
