Mrs. Aya Dinstein, chairman of World WIZO, and Mrs. Chasya Pincus, wife of Jewish Agency Executive Chairman Louis Pincus, brought greetings from Israel to the opening session of the 20th South African Women’s Zionist biennial conference here this week. Delegates from all over the country attended. The festive opening session was greeted by the city’s Mayor, Councillor A.D. Bensusan, who lauded the work done by the Zionist women. Outgoing president Mrs. Jeanette Davidoff, reviewing the work of South African women Zionists, highlighted their role in spreading the Zionist message throughout the country and mobilizing support for WIZO, the Jewish National Fund and other Israeli projects. She called for renewed dedication and increased commitment to the Zionist cause.
