Public Security Minister Shlomo Ben-Ami last Friday said the dispute regarding land near the Church of the Annunciation is being blown out of proportion and that preparations for Pope John Paul II’s visit to Israel were continuing despite reports the Vatican may cancel the trip in protest against the construction of the mosque.
