The German ministry of propaganda and public enlightenment has allotted the sum of ten million marks for a special credit bank to support the rapidly dwindling German film industry, it was learned here today. Since the advent of the Nazi regime and the subsequent expulsion of Jews from all positions in the film industry, the industry has suffered enormous losses not only abroad, where boycott activities have sharply diminished the market for German pictures, but also in Germany, where audiences are apparently unwilling to pay to see the Nazi propaganda films now being produced.
