Nazis have carried out a pogrom against Jews in the German-occupied Polish town of Thorn, according to reports from neutral countries substantiated today by receipt of the Danziger Vorposten, Danzig Nazi organ.

The Vorposten said that all Jews had fled from Thorn before the German Army’s entry, but many later returned and took refuge in a synagogue from where “we swept’ them out.” It added that after what happened to those Jews, “no Jew will ever dare to come again to Thorn.”

“The impertinence of these Jews went so far that some of them applied to the local Nazi commisar to permit them to reopen their stores,” the paper said.
