A neo-Nazi group has sent bomb warnings to neighbors of Simon Wiesenthal, head of the Nazi war crimes documentation center here. Police are investigating the letters received by tenants of 7 Rudolfplatz where the center is located and neighboring buildings. The letters were signed by the “Storm Group of Aryan Germans.” Police said they never heard of such a group.
The letters said, “A beast lives and works in your neighborhood who has committed immense crimes on the best representatives of the Aryan race. We are determined to kill him as we did other criminals and will do in the future. You permitted this villain to work in your neighborhood, but as you are Aryans we only want to warn you that because you live in the same building as Wiesenthal you could also be blown up.”
Wiesenthal who has received countless anonymous threats to his life since he started tracking down wanted Nazi war criminals after World War II, said he would “continue hunting Nazi criminals.” Wiesenthal added, “Nobody can scare me.”
