Rabbi R. Geis, Minister of a Liberal congregation in this city, has been appointed Chief Rabbi of Karlsruhe and the Southwest Province in which it is located. The 46-year-old rabbi was born in Frankfurt, studied in Berlin and Cologne and formerly held ministries Munich, Mannheim and Kassel.
